George Samuel Alvin affectionately known as "Pa" was born on June 16, 1942

to the late Freddie Alvin Sr. and Marie Wynn Alvin. The eldest son, he spent the early years in life residing in Liberty County, Georgia. He graduated from Liberty County high school.

George spent time living in New York and Orange, New Jersey before he made Paterson, New Jersey his home. There he met the love of his life Janie, who preceded him in death in March, 2018. George was a devoted father and spent over 30 years as a truck driver. He retired from Kessler Industries in Paterson, New Jersey. George enjoyed listening to music and watching westerns. He lived a humble life and maintained a connection with his family. There are plenty who can attest to receiving a call from George and having heartfelt conversations with him. On Saturday October 22, 2022,

God called George home at the age of 80.

George was preceded in dead by his brother

Allen "Lee" Alvin.

He leaves to cherish his memories three children:

George Jr., Melinda and Orrin of Paterson, N); siblings: Freddie Alvin Jr. of Riceboro GA, Nelson Wynn of Atlanta, GA, Rev. Dr. Vivian Nesby of Glenville, GA. and Rosa Lee Milton of GA; an Aunt Janie Mae Wynn of Riceboro, GA; sister in-law Eleanor Williams of Paterson, NJ; grandchildren: Shanaiah, Jamere and Zahier all of Paterson, New Jersey; one great grandchild Amaia Zariah; Special cousins: Herman Stevens, Lewis Wynn Jr., Alonzo Wynn and Alma Wynn O'Neal along with of host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

George will be deeply missed.
