George C. "MP" Alvin was called to eternal rest on Monday, April 24, 2023. He was born on May 10, 1939 in Riceboro, Georgia, to the late Grant Alvin, Sr. and Flossie Alvin James.
George was baptized at an early age at First African Baptist Church. He was a member of Kingdom Church of Christ formally Jr. Church of Christ. He attended public school in Liberty County. He graduated with a GED diploma from Chatham County. He worked various construction jobs in Miami, FL; Williams Construction in Savannah, Glynn County and Liberty County, GA.
On May 22, 1999, he was joined in holy matrimony to Mary Alvin.
Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death: Grant Alvin, Jr., Isaiah Bowens and Annie Bell McKinnon.
George leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Mary Alvin, Ft.
