Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Eric Bell, beloved son, brother, and friend, who left us unexpectedly on February 27, 2025, at Saint Joseph Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. He was 29 years old.

Eric was born on April 13, 1995, and his life was marked by kindness, adventure, and an unyielding desire to help others. He found joy in offering his assistance to those in need and made it a point to create meaningful memories with everyone he connected with. His compassion and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Eric spent the last five years of his life living in Midway, Georgia, with his sister, Erica Bell; father, Keith Bell; and their family dogs, Xena, Leia, and Rocky (alongside the memory of Echo, who passed in 2024). He was also deeply loved by his mother, Tina Bell, with whom he lived in Washington for nearly a year, and his sister, Erin McKee. Eric is survived by his grandmother's Linda Perez (maternal) and Elaine Bell (Paternal).  His grandfather Willie Holmes, Sr, proceeds him. Eric's family was the center of his world, and his bonds with them were strong and unwavering.

In his early teenage years, Eric's life journey led him to Hawaii, where he worked at Aeropostale and became immersed in the local culture. He developed a deep love for Hawaiian cuisine, learning to cook dishes like loco moco and spam musubi. His adventurous spirit extended to food, as he had a deep appreciation for diverse flavors—from perfecting pasta dishes and fried shrimp to savoring his favorite foods like broccoli, crab legs, and marinated meats.

As a young adult, Eric made a significant impact on children's social development during his time working in childcare, and later applied his strong work ethic in local restaurants, retail shops, and at Kroger. His caring nature and work ethic shone through in everything he did.

Eric's passions extended far beyond his work. He had a deep love for cars and spent much of his free time learning how to identify and modify vehicles for specific purposes, always seeking to enhance performance and style. He was endlessly fascinated by technology and stayed informed on the latest advancements, always eager to explore new ideas.

Eric also had a unique and creative side.
He had a keen interest in astrology, often exploring the traits and meanings behind zodiac signs. He enjoyed discussing how celestial patterns could influence personality and life events, sharing his own sign's characteristics with those around him. His curiosity about the stars reflected his desire to understand the deeper connections that bind us all. He was an avid collector, with cherished collections of Hot Wheels Cars and Pokémon memorabilia. His Hot Wheels collection was a testament to his love of cars, while his Pokémon collection showcased his nostalgic attitude and sense of adventure. Eric also built a collection of keychains, stickers, and bold art pieces that reflected his individuality and artistic flair. His love for vibrant, expressive art was also seen in his fashion, where he often used his style as a form of self-expression. Additionally, Eric enjoyed creating his own art, such resin crafting and chalk dyeing, and his creations captured his passion for color, design, and creativity.

Eric leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and creativity. He will be remembered as someone who embraced life fully, who always sought to help others, and whose passion for culture, food, family, and personal expression shaped his life in meaningful ways.

A celebration of Eric's life will be held at Dochester. 4842 E Oglethorpe HWY, Midway GA, 31320. Reception held, 5321 Ogeechee Road, Savannah, GA, 31405, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember him.His memory will forever live on in our hearts.
