Emma Jean (Simpson) Lewis., received her final call from God on Wednesday November 29, 2023 in her home in Hinesville Ga. &With the love, care and laughs she left behind, she will truly be missed.
"Polly" as she was affectionately known was born February 20, 1954 born in Jacksonville Florida to the late John Simpson and Evelyn Johnson, later to be raised by her grandmother Margie Simpson & Eunice Simpson her bonus mom, who played an very important role in helping to raise her to become the loving, caring woman she had become.
Emma loved to travel, spend time with her grandchildren, family and friends. In addition to watching her western movies which you dare not interrupt because she was not moving.
Emma received her education through Liberty County School System and worked as a civil service worker for The Department of Defense for over 25 years from which she retired from.
Emma was the type of person who never met a stranger and would never leave you without a good laugh. She was preceded in death by her brothers Johnny Simpson Sr ; Willie Todd; her two sisters Mary and Michelle Todd, & son Antwuan Lewis
Emma is survived by her husband Donald Lewis, Her children Kenyatta (Eric) Williams & Antonio Lewis. Her siblings Tyrone Simpson, Cynthia (Laverne) Clancy, Melanie Griffin, Lisa (Robert) Spurgeon, Sheila (George) Ford, Ronnie, Micheal (Alice) and Terry Todd. And 7 grandchildren, 8 great grands,and a host ofnieces, nephews, family, friends
