Emanuel
White
May 22, 1961 – February 23, 2026
The Dash
May 22, 1961 - February 23, 2026
Emanuel White was born in Chicago Illinois on May 22, 1961 to Ellie (Jack) White, Sr., and Lillian (Lily) Miller. For the first few years of his life, it was filled with high rises and the hustle and bustle of city life. After some time, Jack decided to move his family out of the city into the slower country life of Strong Arkansas; from high rises to farm life. A memory that he often reminisced about was of him and his siblings waking up early in the mornings to work in the field before walking several miles to school everyday. It was in these moments, the foundation and groundwork of his hard work, responsibility and perseverance was laid. In 1979, Emanuel graduated from Strong High School with a college football scholarship; but he decided to join the Army instead.
His first duty station was South Korea. His next station in 1982 was Ft. Benning Georgia where he sat under the leadership of Pastor JM Tolbert. It was at New Harvest Outreach of Columbus Georgia where his love and hunger for God blossomed; and where he met his future wife, Cheryl Galloway. He often said when he met her, he knew immediately she was the one. Her mother later revealed that he was an answered prayer of both her and Cheryl. On October 2, 1982 they were joined in holy matrimony at New Harvest Outreach Ministry. Together they would go on to parent three wonderful children; Vernon, Sharon and Latasha.
In 1983 Emanuel and his family were stationed at Ft. Stewart Georgia. When he signed into his unit, he met the Holy Ghost cowboy, Bishop Raymond Napper. The two were not only connected in military arms but also spiritual arms. Under the pastoral leadership of Bishop Raymond Napper in Sandy Hill trailer park, Emanuel labored in establishing Powerhouse of Deliverance Church's home base. What began as a prayer and bible study grew into a permanent spiritual anchor that continues to serve communities on both a local and global scale.
In 1985 Emanuel and his family were on the move again; this time to Germany where Emanuel not only served his country but also the body of Christ at the post's chapel in gospel services. In 1988, Emanuel and his family were stationed in Ft. Rucker Alabama. Here the entire family participated in door to door witnessing and ministry throughout the community. Elder White was led by God to pastor out of his home, beginning with bible study. As the ministry grew, God blessed them with a place to worship named Enterprise Christian Fellowship PHOD under Bishop Raymond Napper. People were saved, delivered and set free.
In 1990 Emanuel was deployed to Operation Desert Shield and the Operation Desert Storm. Upon returning to the states in 1992, he was then sent to Virginia to start a new course as an Army recruiter. It was in Virginia that he was offered an early release from the military. After 13 years of military service, Emanuel decided to leave the army and return to Hinesville Georgia where he would raise his children and live the remainder of his life.
During his time in Hinesville, he sought to be an active member of his community and live what he preached. At home, he conducted family prayer and bible study regularly; making sure every member participated. He was a radio broadcaster at WGML AM 99 known as "The Voice In the Wilderness", a Youth Pastor of Super Church, a traveling Evangelist regularly visiting Adel Georgia (Pastor Wilcox) and North Carolina (Pastor Patterson). Before Covid-19, him and his wife enjoyed a fruitful nursing home ministry in Glennville Georgia. Throughout it all, he was the steadfast spiritual and natural counselor, mentor and patriarchal pillar of his family; never forgetting that ministry begins at home.
Throughout his 13 years of active duty military service and 30 years of civil service, Elder Emanuel White found his hands at the plow both naturally and spiritually. He was an avid believer but an even more devoted doer of God's word. He believed in helping the homeless, feeding the hungry, visiting the sick and shut in, guiding the fatherless and witnessing of God's love, salvation and our redemption.
On February 23, 2026 at 7:21 am, Elder Emanuel White transitioned to his heavenly home. He was preceded in death by his father, Ellie (Jack) White, Sr., his mother, Lillian (Lily) Miller, his brothers Paul White and Ellie White, Jr., his nephew Malik Alriche and good friend James Jones, Sr.
Emanuel White is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Cheryl White; his son Vernon White (Jodian) of Tyrone, Ga.; his two daughters, Sharon White of Hinesville, Ga., Latasha White-Waller (Aaron) of Hinesville, Ga.; three grandchildren, Carter White, Cameron White and Jaylen Waller; two honorary daughter's, Shantearrea Hill (Jordan) of Atlanta, Ga., and Erica Grant of Glennville, Ga.; two sisters Ruth White of Farmerville, La. , Joy Goldsby (Jerome) of Farmerville, La.; his father and mother in law, John and Barbara Galloway of Columbus, Ga.; three sister in laws Christel Ammons (David) of Temple, Tx., Chan Ta Rivers (Alonzo) of Braselton, Ga., Barbara Alriche of Ellenwood, Ga.; one brother in law David Galloway (Bonnie) of Schertz, Tx.; a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
