Obituary will be available at a later date. Milton Edward Smith was born September 2, 1954 in Trenton, NC to Clen and Lydia (Jarman) Smith.
Milton was such a happy and joyful baby that he was first nick named "Happy Jack" then later named coined the name "Sunny Boy!"

Milton received his educated in t h e Jones County school s y s t e m . After graduation, Milton joined the United States Army. He was married for 12 years.

After an honorable discharge, faithfully serving the country for 15+ years, Milton became a truck driver where many often called him "Heavy D (short for Heavy Duty)." He faithfully hauled freight for NTFC (North Tatnall Freight Co) in Tatnall County, GA. Whilst driving trucks for a living, Milton gave His life to Christ under the auspices of the Late Apostle Shirley Brandon of the Last Day Miracle
Deliverance Church Inc., in Riceboro, Ga. As he matured in ministry, he became an ordained Elder. In 2013 he began his own work, Faith Building Ministries; where he remained Pastor until the Lord called his name.

Milton transitioned in the comfort of his home on February 12, 2025.

Milton had a love for life. He enjoyed good music, especially quartet music. He'd
play the guitar and the keyboard, ride his motorcycle, go fishing, hunting and he'd
fire up a grill to give many a taste of that NC barbecue and so much more!

He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. Clen Smith and Mrs. Lydia Jarman Smith; his brother Clennie Lee Smith; a bonus son: Mr. Claude Leo Moore III; and his loving wife, Mrs. January Hough Smith.

Milton leaves to cherish his memory to his daughter Ms. Shanetha House of
Lugoff, SC; his bonus daughters: Mrs. Tina (Mike) Gomez of Yulee, FL; Ms. Lashawnda Hough of Jesup, GA; his siblings: Mrs. Evelyn Gracie Gamble of Trenton, NC; Mrs. Joyce (Robert) Pollard of Dover, NC; Donald Keith Smith o f
Kinston, NC; his first born niece: Ms. Tawanda Smith and devoted nephew: Mr. Bryan Gamble; 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; a host of sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives (Smith, Jarmon, Martin, Hough) and friends.
