Donald Mitchell Bacon, 68, affectionally known as "Mickey" was born
January 7, 1957, to the late Beatrice" Sweetie Bea" Bacon and the late
Donald Reynolds in Liberty County, Georgia.
Mickey gave the ultimate gift of himself by transitioning on Christmas Day
December 25, 2025, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.
He attended Long Reach New Church of Christ in Riceboro, Georgia under
the leadership of the late Elder Harry Lee Houston.
Mickey was educated in the public schools of Liberty County. He was a
self-taught mechanic that worked for several auto mechanic shops from
New York back to Georgia, He also worked as a tile installer for many
years
Mickey enjoyed life to the fullest and was always willing to lend a helping
hand to his family members and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memories: three loving children, Sherrell N.
Bacon, and Donald J. Bacon of Atlanta, Georgia and Tiffany R. Bacon of
Hinesville, Georgia; four adored grandchildren: Lyriq Johnson, Aajah Z.
Golden, Cy'Jai M. Golden, and Sa'raye J. Golden; his special friend:
Denise Robertson of Midway, Georgia; one adopted daughter; Sharon
Briscoe, Quatar; His devoted and caring sister Ruby Hall, Riceboro,
Georgia, his siblings; Evangelist Theodore (Victoria) Bacon of Brooklyn,
New York, Benjamin (Lucindia) Bacon of Roanoke Rapids, North
Carolina and Myrtle "Gloria" (Willie Frank) Willingham, Riceboro,
Georgia. a special aunt, Prophetess Juanita Bryant; two devoted best
friends: Robert Brown and Larry Adams; his uncles, Bishop Isiah Houston,
Jr. and Bishop Abel Huston of Riceboro, Georgia, Bishop Rufus Huston,
Deacon Jimmy (Susie) Houston and Deacon William (Mary) Houston all
of New York, three special nieces: Pastor Janice (Bishop William)
Bullard, Lesley Hall and LanTanya Hall, his adopted big sisters Prophetess
Gwinnette Houston and Prophetess Lorene Bacon; a host of nieces,
nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
