Obituary

Denise Jordan was born on April 21, 1965, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Charles Jasper and Virginia Smith.  She was the oldest of her twin sister Lisa Thierry (5- min).  They shared a lifelong bond of love, peace, and unity. She was blessed with a special member of the family who was a great father figure in her life, one sister Tonja, other beloved siblings, Lynn, Charles (Jay) Jr., Ivee and Eric. Denise entered God's loving arms on September 4th, 2025, at the age of 60."

At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ into her life. She received her formal education at Milwaukee Technical Hight School graduated in 1983. Denise continued her achievements and joined the United States Army servings for 20 years retiring in 2011 with an honorable discharge. Denise Tours of duty wereTexas, Georgia, Washington, Hawaii, Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea, and Thailand.  Once Denise Achieve the rank of Staff Sergeant, she attended Warrant Officer School and rose to the rant of Warrant Officer 4 (W4) as a U.S. Army Geospatial Engineer , becoming the first African American female in the Army's history to achieve this rank in her field of study.  Her Hometown recognized her trailblazing achievements with a Proclamation declaring April 15th Denise Jordan Day.

After her military service, Denise pursued her passion for design, graduated from the Art Institute of San Antonio.  She launched her own design website and completed countless projects for her clients, eventually joining J. Banks Design where her creativity flourished. Denise had a gift for transforming any space no matter how modestly into a refined vision of beauty and comfort.

Denise was married to Eric Jordan and was a loving mother to three sons, Eric Jordan, Cameron "CJ" Jordan, and Markus Jordan.  Your sons were her constant companions and source of joy. She also enjoyed bike riding, marathons, and shared a deep bond with her beloved dogs.

Denise went to be with our Lord and savior on Thursday, September 4, 2025, surrounded by love and the legacy she built through service, creativity, and devotion to family.

She leaves to cherish her memory Denise leaves behind her father Charles Jasper, her three sons, Eric, Markus, and Cameron, Sisters Lisa and Tonya and other siblings, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Denise's passing preceded by that of her cherished mother, Virginis Smith.

Denise will be remembered for her warmth, her fearless spirit, and her unwavering dedication to those she loved. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the spaces she transformed, and the history she made.
