Demetrius Martize Best was born September 14, 1974, in Goldsboro. and departed this earth on November 4, 2023. He received his education at Grantham School and Southern Wayne High School, Dudley, N.C. Where he played junior varsity and varsity basketball. Proceeding him in death his father Chester Oates of Mt. Olive NC

He leaves to cherish his memories his mother Vickie Johnson (Lee) of Hinesville, GA, a son. Demetrius Martize Best Jr. of Hinesville, GA, two sisters Sharnese Sanders of Savannah, GA, Chernika Sanders of Virginia Beach VA. A father figure in his life was Wendell Sanders (Lesia) of Columbus, GA. His wife Crystal Best of Atlanta GA. A special and devoted friend Lashuante Ramos of Hinesville, GA One aunt Doris Allen of Dudley, NC, three uncles Donald Best (Pam) of Linden NJ, Douglas Best (Sherly) of Playa del Carmen, Mexico and Dwight Best of Charlotte, NC Five nieces and four nephews, and host of cousin, friends&and other relatives.

You are loved more than will ever know, you will truly be missed. In our hearts we knew who you are and what you meant to us. Our tears will fall, and our minds will wonder, but our memories will always last forever. You were a father, son, brother and a loving uncle. We will always love you.
