Lampkin
August 11, 1957 – June 16, 2023
Leroy Lampkin was born in Plant city Florida on August 11, 1957. He was the beloved son of Annie Mae Robinson and Ernest Lampkin. He was one of eleven children. Leroy was a graduate of Plant city high school class of 1976.&
After completing his education, he joined the United States Army as a field artillery man (13F). In 1980 he met the love of his life, Doris Dickerson. The two were joined in holy matrimony on September 10, 1983 and together raised three beautiful children. He continued serving his country and retired in 1997 after 20 yrs of dedicated service.
He then relocated his family to Hinesville, Ga which became their new home. He began his second career serving as a transport driver at the Home Depot distribution center in Savannah, Ga where he was employed for 26 yrs. In 1999 he was baptized and became a faithful servant of Baconton Missionary Baptist Church. He served on the ushers ministry and was ordained as a Deacon.
Whether you knew him as a friend, family man or a man of God you knew him to be a true light (Lamp). He was a genuine soul that meant well and always helped those around him. He kept a smile on his face in the midst of all things.
