Crystal was born to Ricky Downey and the late Sherry Lee Downey Oct. 12, 1983 in Columbia, South Carolina.&

Crystal, with a smile on her beautiful face, entered into eternal rest Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Green Cove Springs Rehabilitation and Care Center, Green Cove Springs, Florida.

Crystal received her education at Bradwell Institute, Hinesville, Ga. She graduated in 2001. She also studied at Columbia College, Columbia, SC.

Crystal was well educated. She was employed as a teller at Heritage Bank, Hinesville, Ga. from 2003-2011, and she also worked as a receptionist at a doctor's office. She loved cheerleading, dancing, music, doing hair, wheelchair exercising, and fashion. Crystal was a fashionista who loved the color pink! She wouldn't even leave home without her earrings and lip gloss!

She was baptized at an early age and joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Hinesville, Ga. Crystal loved the Lord and believed that God was always in control.

On September 29, 2003, she birthed her son, Daniel O'Myrion Plummer. She affectionately called him her "pride and joy!" In June 2006, she married his father, Daniel Plummer, Jr.

In the Summer of 2015, Crystal met Keith Summers. Keith relocated to be closer to her, he stepped in and cared for her faithfully, without any hesitations.

Crystal loved the Lord and she loved people. Everyone who encountered her would always describe her as being kind, sweet, and like a ray of sunshine. Even during her own health challenges, she never complained. She was so independent and strong---a warrior at heart.

Preceding her in death was her mother, Sherry Lee Downey; her brother, James Tucker; her maternal grandmother Minnie Lee, grandfather Samuel Lee, Sr., two aunts: Louise Neal, and Lorraine Williams, and her Uncle Samuel Lee; her Paternal Grandmother, Odalhia Downey; her uncle, Thomas Downey, and her aunt, Margaret D. Hopkins.

Crystal leaves to cherish her precious memories to her Grandmother, Betty Miller, Columbia, SC, her father, Ricky Downey, Hinesville, Ga.; her son, Daniel 'Lil Dan' Plummer, Jacksonville, Fl., her sister in law, Melonie Tucker, Midway, Ga., two nephews: Rickie Tucker, US Army, Detroit, Mi,; James Tucker US Navy, Norfork, Va.; niece, Mya Tucker, Augusta University, Augusta, Ga.; two uncles: Johnny Bryant, Trenton, NJ, Raymond Downey (Thelma Jean), Brooklyn, NY.; five aunts: Marion Downey, Asheville, NC, Rosalind Bethea (Larry), Deborah Boyd-Watkins (Waiter), Ericka Bryant Trenton, NJ, Shawn Sapp, Trenton, NJ; her significant other Keith Summers, Jacksonville, Fl.; her loving extended Jacksonville Florida Family, and a host of other relatives and friends.
