Clarawas the bridge that connected hersurvivingsiblings Louise Martin Lovett, ArlieM.Brown,andVernell Martin.Shewasthe beloved"Nana"to hergrandchildrenBrandon, Nytiesha, Jacob, EricandAiden;great-grandNilanni, nieces and nephews.She was Mamatoher cherishedbonus daughterand sonApril Lovette WhitakerandAaron Lovetteand to herGod-son Derrick (DJ) Baker.Hermagnetic abilityto share loveand hospitalityto allmade her a"Community Nana,"loyal anddevoted friend,surrogate sister,adoptedmotherandrespected co-worker.She was a lifetime member of the Pleasant Grove African Methodist Episcopal Church(AME)where she served as an usher since age fourteen and is recognizedasone of the designated "Legends of Taylor Creek."
