ChristopherBrown,80, ofRiceboro, Ga., passed away onWednesday,May 19,2021atSt. Joseph's Hospitalsurrounded by his loving family.Christopherwas born on August25, 1940, to the late Clinton and Lottie Alvin-Brown inRiceboro, Ga. He was educated in the Liberty CountySchool Systemand workedover50 yearsas a heavy equipment operator with Brackin Timber Companyuntil his retirement.On December 19, 1961 Christopher married the love of his life, Mamie G.(Jackson)Brown, and to this union four children were born.Christopherjoined the church at an early age andwas afaithfulmember of First African Baptist Church in Riceboro, Gaand served as awatchmanuntil his healthfailed. His hobbies includedautomotive repair,gardeningand spending time with his familyand friends, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Christopherwas preceded in death by both parents, Clinton and Lottie Brown,hissister, Carolyn Brown-Stevens,fivebrothers,James,Benjamin, Lawrence,Davidand John-WillieBrown,his loving and devoted wife of 54 years Mamie G. Brownand his son Jerome Brown, Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memories:hisbrother,Ulysses (Margaret) Brown, of Riceboro, Ga,threeloving children,Ralph(Carla) Brown, Kelvin Brown and Lillian Penn all ofRiceboro, Ga.,sevengrandchildren, ShaRonda Brown, Jerome Brown, Jr, Christopher L. Brown, Sr.,Britany Brown, Antionette Penn, Ralph Brown, Jr. and Ashley Brown;12great-grandchildren;a step-sister, Elise Gay;four sisters in-law, Everlena Brownand Hester Brown, Arlene Gibbs-Brown and Olivia Brown;onebrother in-law, Marion Stevens; longtime friends,Albert Spencer and Herman Stevens, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.



There will beavisitationon Friday, May 28, 2021 from1 p.m.- 5 p.m.
Funeral services will be held onSaturday,May29, 2021at 11 a.m. atDorchester Funeral Home,7842 E.Oglethorpe HighwayMidway, Ga 31320.Interment will be in First AfricanBaptistChurch Cemetery, Riceboro, Ga.
