Charles Lewis
Roberts
November 1, 1964 – September 6, 2025
Charles Lewis Roberts, 60, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away on September 6, 2025. Born
to the late Ralph and Sannie Mae Roberts, Charles grew up in Walthourville, GA, where
he was educated in the Liberty County school system. Charles had a love for sports
and was an all-star running back
during his high school years.
Charles worked in Construction and Property Management for many years and was
most recently employed by Con Edison in New York.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Gail Crooks, Marilyn Roberts,
and David Roberts.
Charles is survived by his daughters: Latoya Gibson and Kierra Clemons of Hinesville,
GA. He also leaves behind his loving siblings: Sandra (Kenneth) Owens of
Chesapeake, VA; Carolyn (Richard) Hutchins of Lawton, OK; Ralph (Christine) Roberts
Jr., Richard Roberts, Charlene Roberts, Shirley Bilberry, and Peggy (Phillip) Green all of
Hinesville, GA, Clarence Collins of Jacksonville, FL and Sharon Worley of Miami, FL;
his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and many life-long friends, including Keith
Martin.
Charles was truly unforgettable! He had a bold spirit, a larger-than-life personality, and a
deep love for his family. Whether it was his stories from back in the day, his love of old-
school music, or the way he proudly quoted lyrics that spoke to his life, he always left an
impression! One of his favorite lines summed up his energy best:
I make big money,
I drive big cars
Everybody know me
It's like I'm a movie star
– The Geto Boys
