Obituary

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for
me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at the day: and not to meonly, but unto all of them also that love his appearing.

-II Timothy 4:7-8

On Tuesday January 11 th ,1946, Mother Evangelist Celia Davis affectionately called "Granny" was born to the late Mr. William Anderson and Ms. Laura Belle Lowe in Sunbury GA. She had four siblings: Ms. Orlean Anderson, The Late Mr. Mat Anderson, The Late Ms. Johnnie Belle Melvin, And Mrs. Trudy Deloach

In her early years, Mother Celia Davis attended school in Liberty County. She furthered her education by completing Culinary Arts school in Newark, New Jersey. Cooking was her passion, and it was one of the
things that brought her joy. Her superb cooking skills led her to become an entrepreneur. She started a catering business and prepared meals and catered events in Liberty, Long and surrounding counties. Herlove and compassion for children and her desire to help others led her to start and operate a private in-home daycare.

She was the matriarch and glue that held her family together. She was the loving mother to three children: The Late Gustine Williams Heath, William Bullard, Sr., Elvette Marie Spaulding, and three bonus children, Arthur Richard Moore Jenkins III, Richard George Moore Jenkins, and The Late George Ann Elizabeth Francis Tate.

Mother Celia Davis received the gift of salvation and was sweetly saved. In her early years she attended Sunbury Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of late Reverend E.S. Woods. Upon the leading
of the lord, she joined Kingdom Connections River of Life Ministries, Inc. under the leadership and tutelage of the late Bishop Dr. Leotha Walthour Sr. and Apostle Dr. Curley L. Walthour. Mother Celia Davis was a faithful servant and valued member of Kingdom Connections River of Life Ministries family. She was installed and served as the Church Mother for over 20 years. She preached her first sermon in 2009 and was licensed as a minister. In 2013 she became an Ordained Evangelist. She was leader of the Hospitality Department and Mother's Board. She was on the Usher and Greeters Committee. She had an insatiable appetite for the Word of God, which led her to attend Deeper Waters International Bible College. Mother Celia Davis was an insightful teacher that taught Sunday School and Bible Study. Because she was devoted and trustworthy, she sometimes she was left in charge of services when the leadership team would have to minister out of town. As an Evangelist, she would often call and check on
family, loved ones, and the sick and shut in members encouraging them with the word of God.

On Friday June 16 th , 2023, at 10:56am. Mother Celia Davis slept away peacefully and went home to be with her heavenly father.
