Brenda Gail Humphrey, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully, April 10, 2026. She was a native of Louisville, Kentucky, born
April 23, 1947 to Mary Elizabeth Adams and Fred Humphrey. Brenda was the cherished eldest of nine children. As the oldest, Brenda held a special
place in her family, often offering encouragement and sharing the Word of God at every opportunity she was given.

Brenda never married and had no children of her own, but she poured her heart into her family. She was always concerned about everyone—wanting to know where they were and how they were doing. Her presence was a steady source of comfort and support throughout her life.

Known for her kind heart and gentle spirit, Brenda had a warm smile that made everyone feel welcome. She enjoyed spending time with family, painting, and simply being with loved ones. Brenda found joy in life's simple pleasures, such as listening to music, reading, and encouraging others with thoughtful words.

She was a woman of quiet strength, compassion, and unwavering faith—always willing to lend a listening ear or offer support when it was needed most.

Brenda was preceded in death by her mother and father, as well as three brothers.

She leaves to cherish her memory three sisters: Vickie of Louisville, Kentucky; Renee Phillips of Fayetteville, North Carolina; and Tia Garrett (Jonathan) of Hinesville, Georgia; and two brothers: Wendell of Raleigh, North Carolina and Lamont of Germany, along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom were touched by her kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit.
