Obituary

Brandon Michael Spencer, 44, of Rincon, Georgia, peacefully departed this life on June 2, 2026 at Memorial Health University. He was born on December 5, 1981 in Savannah, Georgia.

Brandon was a clearly beloved son, husband, father, brother, and friend. His life truly touched so many. He was the well-mannered, easy-going, cherished son of Elder Gary and Evangelist Suerena Duvall. He was a devoted husband to Shaneka Spencer and a proud, hardworking father to Tyshawn and Branell Spencer. His wife and children were his best caregivers.

Brandon attended Bradwell Institute High School and later attended Savannah Technical College, where he earned his certification in welding. He dedicated 10 years of faithful service to the Georgia Ports Authority. Following an accident that left him disabled, Brandon was medically retired. He was a member of ILA Local 2046.

He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Elder Gary and Suerena Duvall; his wife, Shaneka Spencer; his children, Branell and Tyshawn Spencer; and his godson, Makari Ingram. He is also survived by his brothers, Corey, Jamaal, and Kydis Duvall; sisters, Daza and Norrell Duvall; aunt, Alice Spencer; uncles, Edgar and Christopher Spencer; and a very special loving mother in Zion, Sis. Fay Overton.

Brandon was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ned and Sarah Spencer; his uncles, Ned Jr. and Chester Spencer; and aunt, Jacqueline Dobbs.

He was respected for his work ethic and commitment to his craft. As his health permitted, Brandon attended his church, Life UPC Hinesville, Georgia, under the leadership of Bishop Crutchfield. Though he has departed from his earthly life, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew him.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness…”
