Obituary

Mr. Bobby Leon Stevens, 66, of Liberty County (Trade Hill Community) transcended to his heavenly home on Saturday, February 1, 2025.

Bobby was born to loving parents, the late Deacon Paige Stevens Jr., and the late Anna M. Tate Stevens on April 3, 1958.

Bobby was blessed with two children, Leon Jackson Stevens who preceded him in death and a beautiful daughter, Alexis Danielle Coney, son in love, Kevin Coney and two grandchildren Kai and Alani.


At an early age Bobby was baptized and joined the Sunbury Missionary Baptist Church where he attended until his passing. He was a 1976 graduate of Bradwell Institute High School. He furthered his education at Savannah State College now University.


Bobby was employed for many years with the ILA Local 1414 in Savannah, Georgia until his retirement. He touched the lives of many people throughout his joyous life.


Bobby was a board member of the Seabrook Village Foundation, where he served faithfully.


He is preceded in death by his father, Deacon Paige Stevens, Jr., his mother, Sister Anna T. Stevens and his brother Randolph Keith "Randy" Stevens.


To cherish his precious memories he leaves a beautiful daughter, Alexis Danielle Stevens-Coney; devoted son in love, Kevin Coney; two adorable grandchildren, Kai Leon Bernard Coney and A'lani Marie Coney; loving sisters, Sandra Stevens Smalls and Ashley Stevens (Julius) Roberson; brother, George Stanley (May) Stevens; nephew, Nathaniel De'Andre Smalls, sister in law, Linda Stevens; niece, Brandi Trotter; great-nephews, Julius Christopher Roberson, III, Wesley Paige Roberson, Andrew Lennox Roberson; uncles and aunts , Elliott (Ida) Tate, Leroy Tate, Benjamin Tate, Ollie Tate Thomas, Glória Golphin, Franklin (Eureka) Stevens, Edward (Sarah) Stevens, and Emma Stevens Fuller; fiancée, Saundra Kennedy (Savannah, GA); a host of special nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
