White
March 29, 1950 – February 17, 2026
Betty was born on March 29, 1950, in Liberty County to the late George Golden and Sarah Singleton. She was raised by her grandmother CarrieSingleton and aunt Florine Singleton. Betty graduated from Liberty County High School in 1968. At an early age she moved to Jacksonville Florida, with her uncle Joe Louis Singleton (Marilyn) and worked for Anchor Hockey Glass Company for many years.
Betty moved back to Liberty County in her later years; she was a member of Wilderness MB Church, were she faithfully served in several capacities, as a Sunday school teacher, assisted with Pastor Anniversary's and many other church programs.
Betty was very compassionate, empathetic, and she cared for and helped many family members and friends. Betty loved hard and only wanted the same in return. She helped anyone that asked to the best of her ability, regardless of the situation. She always wanted to make things right and people happy, even when it cost her emotionally or financially.
Betty is preceded in death by father George Golden, and her mother Sarah Singleton, brothers Alexander Singleton, and Pastor Ivory Kelly, two sisters Christine Slater and Lillie G. Rivers; and her fur babies Jade, and Tuna.
Betty leaves to cherish her many precious memories two sisters Rachel Ashley (Greg), and Lu Singleton, brother Rickie Singleton; sister-in-law,
Mary Kelly, niece Christine Golden Pride, God-daughter-cousin Joann Mitchell (Ernest), nieces Doretta Rivers, Regenia Rivers, Desiree Slater, and nephew Justin George Ross, a very devoted friend Everlena Baggs; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of sorrowing friends.
