Barbara Jean
Hall
June 15, 1951 – April 10, 2026
Barbara Jean Hall, born on June 15, 1951, in Ahoskie, North Carolina, was the beloved daughter of Fannie E. and James Wise. She peacefully departed this life on April 10, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to family.
At an early age, Barbara relocated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System. She graduated from Germantown High School, laying the foundation for a life rooted in determination and purpose.
Following high school, Barbara attended beauty school, where she became a licensed cosmetologist. She went on to build a successful career as a beautician, known for her talent, warmth, and the meaningful relationships she formed with her clients. It was during this time that she met her best friend of over 40 years, Linda Robinson, a bond that remained strong and unwavering throughout her life.
Barbara also worked in manufacturing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she was employed at Nabisco and Whitman's Chocolate Factory. Later in her career, she served as a lab technician at the University of Pennsylvania, a role she held with pride and dedication until her retirement.
Barbara was a woman of strength, grace, and unwavering love for her family. She had a warm heart and a nurturing presence that made everyone around her feel cared for and supported. She was loved by so many and touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Her greatest joy was her family, and she devoted her life to loving and uplifting them. Barbara loved the Lord deeply, and after moving to Georgia, she grew an even greater and more personal relationship with God.
She was a faithful, devoted, and loving member of The Fellowship of Love Worship Center, where she served with grace and dedication. As a cherished member of the Mother's Board, she regularly attended Sunday School and Bible Study, always eager to share her wisdom and encouragement with others. Mother Hall also gave generously of her time as a volunteer with Another Chance Outreach Ministry. She expressed her love for service through her gifts of craftsmanship—knitting hats and scarves for those in need and creating beautiful floral arrangements each year for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Fannie E. Wise and James Wise .
Barbara leaves to cherish her memory: her loving children, Brianne (Lenton) Felton of Richmond Hill, Georgia; Brian Hall and Brandy (Jermaine) Swindell of Richmond Hill, Georgia. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Leonard Felton, Dazia Hall, Stephen Felton, Nyah Hall, Eva Swindell, James Swindell, and Jada Swindell; and a cherished great-grandmother to Leona Felton. She is also survived by her sister, Francine Kendrick of Horsham, Pennsylvania; and her sisters-in-law who were like sisters, Robin Paganafanador of Pine Hill, New Jersey, and Shelia Cavin of Wilmington, Delaware. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with her lifelong friend, Linda Robinson, and a host of extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
A celebration of Barbara's life will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 2pm at the Fellowship of Love 4372 W. Oglethorpe Hwy Allenhurst, GA 31301.
Her love, strength, and legacy will live on through all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
