Rosa Doris Dudley

Sister Rosa Doris Dudley departed this life on November 28, 2022. Sister Rosa was born on June 13, 1945, in Mitchell County Georgia to the late John Dent and Laura Caswell Dent. She was the fifth of nine children and accepted Christ as her personal savior at the age of 14. Upon graduating from Mitchell County High School, she moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

In 1966, Sister Rosa met the love of her life David F. Dudley. On June 11,1967, they were joined in holy matrimony and live 55 years of loving bliss. To this union was born David F. Dudley, II and Tifanie Dudley Heningburg. She was employed at Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for ten years as one of the first Certified Nursing Assistant. In 1976 she retired from nursing and became a full-time housewife. Member of the first graduating class in Florida from Major Solomons Bennett Bible Institute. After returning to Georgia in 1991 she was a faithful member of Aisle of Hope and member of the local and state usher staff.

Sister Rosa was preceeded in death by her parents John Dent and Laura Caswell Dent, her brothers, Hubert Dent, Howard Dent and Andrew Dent. She leaves to cherish her loving and devoted husband of fifty-five years Elder David F. Dudley Sr., her son David F. Dudley, II (Melissa), daughter Tifanie Dudley Heningburg (Marcel Sr.). Grandchildren Latavia Dudley, Marcel Heningburg II, and Deja Heningburg Banda (Alex). Her sibling James Dent (Adine), Mary Lawhorn Wimberly, Johnnie Mae Williams, Vero Roberts, and Charles Dent (Linda). Her Brothers-in-law Melvin (Kathy); Elton (Eunice); Jeremiah (Elois); Cepheus (Rose); Elvis (Deidre) and Sister-in-law Jackie Dudley. A host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
