Mr. Jerome “Smiley” Elton Bacon, Sr. departed this life Wednesday, June 15, 2022 shortly after his illness.
Mr. Bacon was born in Liberty County, GA on July 3, 1961 to the late Edward Bacon, Sr. and Essie Mae Bacon.
He recognized the need for a Savior in his early life and he joined Thebes A.M.E. Church. When he relocated to Brunswick, GA he joined Living By Faith Word Ministries Church and served as a Deacon under the pastoral care of Pastor Shannon Miller.
On February 11, 2017, Mr. Bacon was untied in holy matrimony to Shirley Ann Davis.
Mr. Bacon was preceded in death by a loving daughter, Shakinnah Pinkney.
He is survived by a loving wife, Shirley Bacon of Brunswick, Ga., his daughters Natalie Bacon of Brunswick, Ga., Ebony Davis of Savannah, Ga., Shaniqua Brooks of Brunswick, Ga., Shanell Raiford of Atlanta, Ga., his sons Jerome Bacon Jr. of NY, and Antwan (Daniella) Fairell-Bacon of Atlanta, Ga., six grandchildren. Two sisters Dorothy Hunter of Aiken, SC, and Toni (Gregory) Roberts of Midway, GA, four brothers Terrence Fleming of Phoenix, AZ, Curtis Bacon, Sr. of Midway, GA, William (Sasha) Bacon of Midway, GA, and Torrance (Joyce) Bacon, Sr. of Hinesville, GA, one Uncle Jack Bacon of Newark, NJ, two Aunts Sarah Atkinson of Midway, GA, and Marie Bacon-Crute of Atlanta, GA and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
